To become a Foam Master the contractors must undergo a thorough training course, concluding with a stringent assessment. The ongoing commitment requires member companies to update their skills each year with refresher training.
In return, member companies receive industry leading technical and marketing support from the BASF team and the confidence that comes with working in partnership with a global chemical company.
For John Goodhead from Seamless Thermal Solutions Ltd it is about quality: “We have been dealing with foam for a couple of years but looking for the right product. We always want to make sure we do everything 100% right and that the products we use are 100% the right products.”
Steve Jewell from Spray Insulation, Cornwall, was enthusiastic about the training and support: “What the team put together for us was outstanding. We particularly wanted to be able to offer a cavity wall system so were delighted to get the training on the CV100 product.
“Now we are able to use the product for real we know that if we have any questions at all then we just have to call and we will get a thorough and technically expert answer. The marketing materials are very useful too - particularly the project stories as they give our customers the reassurance of successfully completed installations.”
Alongside these two UK contractors who completed their training in March were two further companies from Ireland: Hometherm Insulation and Egan Foam Insulation. These two companies are part of the Irish affiliation that is put together by Econ Polyurethanes, WALLTITE’s distributor in Ireland.
