Certification is never an easy or superficial process and the products must be rigorously tested against a number of performance criteria. For the spray foam insulation this, of course, tests the thermal performance of the product on application, but will also test for the practicality of its installation, adhesion, weathertightness, condensation risk, durability and behaviour in relation to fire.
The rigour of the certification process ensures that specifiers can have complete confidence in the assurance and longevity of the product. The Irish construction industry is going through a difficult period, meaning that product manufacturers have to fight harder than ever for contracts.
